Zendesk shows three priced plans: Support Team at US$19, Suite Team at US$55 and Suite Professional at US$115 per agent per month on annual billing, or US$25, US$69 and US$149 billed monthly. The top plan, Suite Enterprise + Copilot, shows only "Talk to Sales". Copilot adds US$50 per agent, the Workforce Engagement Bundle (workforce management and QA) US$50 per agent, and Contact Center US$83 per agent. AI-agent resolutions are charged on top; see the AI section for why that price is currently unclear.

What you are billed for

The billable unit is an agent seat: every agent, the account owner and every admin needs one, and suspended agents still occupy a paid seat. Customers are never billed. Light agents, who can view tickets and add internal notes, are free up to a plan limit, but a light agent who is given an agent or admin role in Chat, Knowledge or Analytics takes a paid seat. AI agents add a second unit, the automated resolution, and per-seat add-ons such as Copilot and the Workforce Engagement Bundle are charged on every agent seat, not only the agents who use them. AI and paid add-ons

Zendesk sells two AI products. Copilot, which drafts replies, summarises tickets and suggests next steps for agents, costs US$50 per agent per month and must be bought for every agent seat on the account; without it, Suite Professional and above get 5 uses per agent a month. AI agents answer customers and are billed per resolution, and here Zendesk's own pages disagree. The pricing page still describes the older model: each plan includes 5 automated resolutions per agent a month on Suite Team and 10 on Suite Professional, capped at 10,000 a year per account, with extra resolutions at US$1.50 each if you commit to a volume or US$2 pay-as-you-go. The help centre says that since May 2026 this has been replaced by a dollar "resolution allowance": US$2 per agent seat a month on Team plans, US$5 on Suite Professional and US$10 on Suite Enterprise, capped at US$5,000 a year, drawn down by verified resolutions priced by tier, with the tier prices available only from sales. Only verified resolutions are billable; assisted escalations and contained resolutions are not. In March 2026 Zendesk also completed its acquisition of Forethought, whose AI agents it now sells separately through sales, including for teams on other help desks.

Zendesk: entry tier is Suite Team, because Support Team is email-only ticketing; mid tier is Suite Professional; there is no top tier because Suite Enterprise + Copilot has no public price. Copilot is not available on Suite Team and costs US$50 for every seat on Suite Professional. AI resolutions use the pricing page's committed rate of US$1.50 after 5 (Suite Team) or 10 (Suite Professional) included resolutions per agent a month; the help centre's newer dollar allowance is not modelled because its per-resolution prices are not public.

Frequently asked questions

How much does Zendesk cost?

Support Team costs US$19, Suite Team US$55 and Suite Professional US$115 per agent per month on annual billing, or US$25, US$69 and US$149 billed monthly. Suite Enterprise + Copilot is quote-only. Copilot adds US$50 per agent, and AI-agent resolutions are charged on top. The Zendesk pricing page works through full examples.

Can I buy Zendesk Copilot for only some agents?

No. Zendesk's help centre says Copilot must be purchased for every agent seat on the account; you can then limit some features by group. It is available from Suite Professional, and without it agents get 5 Copilot uses a month. Whether it pays for itself is covered in do you need the AI add-on.

How much do Zendesk AI agents cost per resolution?

It depends on which Zendesk page you read. The pricing page lists US$1.50 per automated resolution on a committed volume and US$2 pay-as-you-go, after an included allowance. The help centre says that since May 2026 a dollar resolution allowance of US$2 to US$10 per agent seat a month has replaced that model, with per-resolution prices set by tier and available only from sales. Only verified resolutions are charged.
